Benenden School is seeking an experienced accountant to play a key role maintaining the school’s budgets, strategic financial plans and associated financial models in line with the school’s strategic objectives.

This will involve leading on the annual budgeting process, developing and maintaining the cash flow forecast and sensitivity analysis on a monthly and annual basis. The position further involves modelling for a broad range of future scenarios and undertaking financial feasibility analysis for the school.

Successful applicants will either be fully qualified accountants (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or other recognised professional accountancy body) and have strong technical and commercial knowledge within a similar sized entity. The successful candidate will have advanced Excel skills, experience of using accounting software packages and a working knowledge of forecasting models.

Applicants should be hard working, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities; be able to assist other roles within the team and step in to provide cover during absence or assist during busy periods.

The successful candidate will work 3 days per week, all year round.

Benenden is one of the leading day and boarding schools in the country.  Founded in 1923, Benenden School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent, the Garden of England. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18.
