We are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused Examinations Manager to join Wycombe Abbey’s Academic Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the Executive Leadership Team and academic staff with effective administration in all areas relating to public and internal examinations. Working closely with academic and support staff, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils throughout their examination journey and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and administration.
Reports to: Head of Examinations and ultimately responsible to the Headmistress.
Contract: Full-time, part-year, permanent contract. The first three months will be a probationary period.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday during Wycombe Abbey term time, plus 4 weeks during School holidays. Flexibility is required during busy examination periods, particularly during School examinations, the summer examination season, and the results period in August and September.
Salary: ÂŁ32,400-ÂŁ36,450 per annum, depending on skills and experience (based on an FTE of ÂŁ40,000-ÂŁ45,000).
As Examinations Manager, you will oversee the administration and organisation of all public and internal examinations, ensuring compliance with examination board and regulatory requirements. You will manage examination entries, timetables, invigilation, access arrangements, examination materials and post-results services, while leading a small team and supporting colleagues across the School.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and IT skills, experience of coordinating complex administrative processes, strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience of examinations administration and line management would be advantageous.
