Join Our Team as a Boarding House Cleaner!

Location: Rammell House, Cranbrook School

Report to: House MAC

At Cranbrook School, we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming and clean environment for our students. We’re on the lookout for a friendly and dedicated Boarding House Cleaner to help keep Rammell House in tip-top shape!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Keeping studies and common areas like the Common Room, kitchen, and corridors sparkling clean.
  • Looking after our laundry – from washing to folding, making sure everyone gets their clothes back!
  • Giving our bathrooms a thorough scrub, including a steam clean every term.
  • Clearing rubbish and maintaining common spaces.
  • Weekly cleaning of the Head of House and Resident Tutor’s rooms.
  • Tracking laundry and reporting any missing items.
  • Helping out with the big clean before the academic year starts.
  • Assisting with special functions and events.
  • Being the go-to person for queries at the house phone when the Matron’s away.
  • Getting involved in basic first aid and attending training courses.
  • Providing excellent service to all our students and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Reliable and experience working with a diverse range of people.
  • A team player with a flexible approach.
  • No prior experience with cleaning machines? No problem! We’ll provide you with all the training you need.

Role Details:

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 12:00pm and 3 hours on alternate Saturdays (hours may have some flexibility).

Contract: Term time only pluys inset days, with an expectation of an additional 40 hours during the holidays to help open and close the boarding house.

Salary: Cranbrook Grade 7 – £24,517 (full-time equivalent).
