We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic assistant houseparent to work within our boarding team.
This role would be perfect for a person with a “can do” attitude who may be considering a career in Education and is passionate about quality pastoral care.
The role is for two evenings/overnight per week, two further evenings in the week until plus one weekend per month (Friday until Monday morning)
Working within the Boarding department, the assistant houseparent will take an active interest in the lives of the pupils in the house. They will be responsible for supporting houseparents’ in promoting welfare and safety standards along with planning activities for all the boarding students in their house.
This position can be residential (self-contained accommodation provided) or the member of staff could live off-site on the understanding that they will stay in the boarding house during their overnight shifts, in staff duty accommodation.
Some previous experience of working with children is essential.

- Two nights per week working 4.30pm – 10.30pm active duty, on call overnight and then 07.30 – 09.30am the following morning
- Two other weekday nights from 6.15pm -8.30pm
- One weekend per month (Friday night until Monday morning)
