Course outline:

Change is inevitable in schools. Leading, managing and coping with change are all key skills. By evaluating our own attitudes to change as well as understanding the process of organisational change, we can learn to lead on it and/or embrace it. Our webinar will cover how to analyse the need for change as well as how to communicate, plan and engage with colleagues and various stakeholders to foster a shared vision.

Speaker:

Rob Pavis, Head, Kingsley School

Rob is currently the Head of Kingsley School in Devon, an independent co-educational boarding and day school on the beautiful North Devon coast. He was previously Deputy Head at Gordon’s School in Surrey, and Assistant Head at Steyning Grammar School in West Sussex, both state boarding schools. Prior to a 12 year spell in the state boarding sector, Rob was a Housemaster and Head of Faculty at Wycliffe College in Gloucestershire for 15 years. Graduating from Durham University, Rob spend a few years living and working in Japan before returning to the UK to start his teaching career. He continues to enjoy his love of sport and of the great outdoors in general, having built an impressive surfing and Outdoor Education programme at Kingsley School.
