Course outline

We all know that many of the international pupils in our schools have more than one language and home culture.  Some of our pupils have multiple identities which can be a positive additive experience but can lead to identity confusion and even functional illiteracy.  This phenomenon is sometimes called being a Third Culture Kid.

Training topics will include:

  • International transition
  • Identity and language issues

Learning outcomes:

A better understanding of supporting pupils with multiple cultural and linguistic identities.
