Join us for the inaugural Lessons in Leadership event, brought to you by the BSA’s Centre for Boarding Leadership.
Having commanded at every rank to 4*, with 11 years on operations and with 10 years in UK Special Forces, Sir Tim Radford will share some reflections about leading through uncertainty during his 40 years service in the British Army.

Tim spent 40 years in the British Army, during which he commanded at every rank up to 4*, including 10 years with UK Special Forces and over 11 years on operations. His final appointment between April 20 and July 23 was as NATO’s 30th Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR) during a period of significant military transformation. Having commanded at every rank to 4*, with 11 years on operations and with 10 years in UK Special Forces, Tim Radford will share some reflections about leading through uncertainty during his 40 years service in the British Army.

Lessons in Leadership is a programme to support boarding school leaders as part of BSA’s new Centre for Boarding Leadership (CBL). The Lessons in Leadership programme comprises lectures from highly distinguished leaders in different fields, including boarding alumni or people connected with boarding schools. These in-person Leadership events will be held at CBL partner BSA member schools in different parts of the UK. Typical Lessons in Leadership events will be for around a dozen delegates.
