Turing Education is a education technology company helping UK schools teach and adopt AI safely. We run Computing, AI and Robotics clubs and in-school enrichment for pupils from Reception to A-level, delivered by enhanced-DBS-checked teachers drawn from Imperial, UCL, Kingβs and QMUL, and we provide accredited AI literacy CPD for teaching and pastoral staff. Our Safe AI platform gives pupils a Socratic AI tutor built for schools rather than the open web: it is grounded in the schoolβs own curriculum, cannot be used to copy and paste homework, is aligned with DfE guidance, hosts all data in the UK and never uses pupil data to train third-party models, with safeguarding alerts routed directly to each schoolβs own SLT and DSL. Working with around 20 state and independent schools, including boarding and prep settings, we partner with leadership, safeguarding and wellbeing teams to make AI a positive, well-governed part of school life.
Boarding: Turing Education works with around 20 UK independent and state schools, delivering AI, computing and robotics clubs, in-school enrichment and teacher CPD, and we are now extending that work into boarding settings. Our provision is designed to fit the rhythm of a boarding school: after-school, evening and weekend enrichment slots, flexible age banding, small group sizes, and the ability to deliver either in person or through our platform so that boarders have the same access as day pupils. We are joining the BSA Group to learn from boarding professionals directly and to make sure our programmes and products reflect the particular pastoral, residential and safeguarding context of boarding life. Safeguarding: Safeguarding is built into how we staff, deliver and build. Every Turing teacher is enhanced DBS checked, completes our internal safeguarding training, and works under the host schoolβs safeguarding policy and KCSIE, reporting any concern to the schoolβs DSL; we provide schools with everything needed for their single central record. In our clubs, pupils are never given access to open AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Our Safe AI platform is a Socratic tutor built specifically for schools: it is aligned with DfE guidance on generative AI, cannot be used to copy and paste homework, and any safeguarding concern raised in a pupilβs conversation is routed directly to that schoolβs own SLT and DSL, never handled by a third party. All data is hosted in the UK, pupil data is never used to train third-party models, and Turing Education is registered with the ICO (ZC284193). Health and wellbeing: We want pupils to use AI as a tool for thinking, not a substitute for it or a source of dependency. Safe AI is deliberately designed to make pupils reason through a problem rather than hand them answers, and schools can scope it to their own curriculum so that use stays purposeful and age-appropriate. Every cohort we teach includes pupils with SEND, and we produce adapted learning resources for them. All our teachers are AllergyWise certified, and we work with each schoolβs pastoral and medical staff on any individual pupil needs before a programme begins. Our teacher CPD in AI literacy also equips pastoral and wellbeing staff to understand how pupils are actually using AI outside school, and to spot the risks early.
