Elmhurst Ballet School is a highly successful vocational ballet school associated with Birmingham Royal Ballet and is based one mile from the city centre in Edgbaston in a modern purpose-built facility with ample free parking and onsite Bistro cafeteria. Elmhurst caters for up to 200 students aged 11-19, many of whom are boarders. Our philosophy is that talent is classless and we work hard to secure funding so that our world class education and training is accessible to talented young people from all backgrounds.
We are looking for a School Finance Manager to join our small finance team on a full time, permanent basis, reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations and working closely with the Purchase Ledger and Payroll Officer. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the day to day management of all school finance, including management accounts, VAT compliance, cash flow, fee invoicing and collection, audit preparation, and financial controls. The role also drives continuous improvement through the development of financial processes, systems, and reporting to support the School’s strategic and operational objectives. The successful candidate will hold, or be working towards, a professional accountancy qualification.
