Teacher of English Language and Literature (IGCSE and A Level)
Founded in 1882, Brillantmont International School is one of the oldest boarding schools in Switzerland. Owned by the same family since 1882, Brillantmont creates a home from home for around 80 students averaging 30 different nationalities, coeducational boarding and day, aged 13-18.

We prepare students for college all over the world through an international curriculum which provides students with either an American High School Diploma or International Advanced Level’s through Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). Our co-curricular offerings range from skiing and volleyball to, drama, music and Model United Nations (THIMUN) conference in Singapore and The Hague as well as service learning with Habitat for Humanity.
All students at Brillantmont learn English. Some students require EAL provision and after developing a solid basis in the structure of language, they move on to IGCSE, which is taken as a First Language and as a Second Language. In 11th and 12th Grade, students continue with English, with some taking A Level English Language and English Literature (Cambridge Assessment).
The postholder will work with the EAL teacher to build on existing skills and successfully deliver English Language and Literature for students in Grades 10 and above. The postholder is encouraged to fully participate in school life, beyond the classroom and contribute to the co-curricular programme.
The expected number of teaching periods is 20 per week. Preference will be given to candidates who undertake some boarding duties.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven track record of teaching English Language and English Literature at IGCSE and A Level.
- Have qualified teacher status or equivalent.
