The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.
We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 – 18. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School is based in 260 acres of Gatton Park, Reigate, Surrey centering around Gatton Hall. In addition to the extensive grounds the school consists of over 250,000 sq. ft. of floor space in 25 main buildings (plus ancillary) and 72 staff residential units. The school has a major ground source heat pump project and has an aspiration to further develop its environmental credentials.
The Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber to join us on a full time contract. You will have the opportunity to join our estate-based team, working on residential boarding refurbishments and get involved with a wide range of operations and projects across site as well as assist with the day-to-day tickets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing the plumbing systems around the school site, including boarding houses and residential accommodation
- Be the primary point of contact for the school ground and air source project, ensuring maintenance programs are followed and issues are resolved
- To monitor information from the solar and other sustainable energy systems and identify trends of excess usage and plans to mitigate them
- Supervising ongoing plumbing installations and providing technical expertise
