The Royal Alexandra and Albert School exists to give our children a distinctly different start in life, preparing them for the world with hope, optimism, compassion and empathy.

We are a co-educational, non-selective state boarding school, for boys and girls aged 7 – 18,. This is a boarding school with Flexi Boarding students attending from the local area and a lively community of around 400 Full Boarders, passionately involved in a wide range of after-school and weekend activities and trips.

Our Ofsted inspection of March 2024 states ”pupils are happy and well cared for at Royal Alexandra and Albert School. They benefit from positive relationships with staff across the school. Pupils feel safe, confident that if they report any concerns or worries they will be dealt with”.

We are looking for an Art Design and Technology Technician.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our school. We are looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about art, design and making
  • Offers inspirational and caring guidance for young people,
  • Works collaboratively, asks questions and is keen to learn.
  • Has experience with textiles, wood and metalworking machinery

You will need to have the commitment and enthusiasm to be part of a lively, well managed and successful team. The staff in the Technology and Art department enjoy their work and strive to work together to give the best to the students in their care.

The successful candidate will be given full support and will be encouraged to engage in further professional development which we believe will benefit both the individual and the school.
