International Boarding Day

BSA International Boarding Day takes place annually in October each year. The celebration recognises theย individualย experiences within boarding communities worldwide.

Thisย importantย day highlights the sense of community, camaraderie, and personal growth fostered within these educational environments. Boarding schools play a significant role in shaping the lives of young people.ย International Boarding Day aims to create an opportunity to reflect on the invaluable life skills, friendships, and independence cultivated in these settings, while also celebratingย and sharing experiences of inclusive,ย supportive boarding school communities across the globe.

2025 theme: Unique Identities

Join us onย Saturday October 4ย for this yearโ€™s International Boarding Day celebration! The theme for 2025 is โ€˜Unique Identitiesโ€™.

Boarding offers a truly unique experience across the world. As part of BSAโ€™s 60th anniversary celebrations, we are highlighting the rich and diverse heritage of our member schools and the vibrant communities that make them special. International Boarding Day provides an opportunity to shine a global spotlight on boarding, showcasing how schools have evolved over time into inclusive, multicultural communities and dynamic learning environments where every student can thrive.
