Brooke House College is a small family oriented, co-educational, international college for pupils aged 11-19, wishing to undertake their general secondary education within the British curriculum. Programmes include; general Key Stage 3 courses for the youngest pupils, our University Foundation Programme, A-level courses and GCSE courses with a large range of academic subject choice. Our class sizes are typically small with an average of eight pupils in a class. All pupils have a personal academic tutor, who monitors their progress and sets attainment targets using the latest national, normalised baseline testing. Intensive English and pre-sessional programmes with UKVI IELTS preparation classes support international learners in their university destinations. Taster programmes can be arranged by request. There are currently around 250 pupils from over 60 different countries. Brooke House College also has a Football Academy, giving pupils the option to develop their sporting interest alongside their academic achievements. Pupils take part in competitive fixtures and are given the opportunity to train with professional English clubs. The co-educational academy has won four national titles over the past three seasons, boasts 10 current internationals and has clearly defined exit routes for players to join professional clubs. It also has direct links with many US universities offering ‘soccer scholarships’ for those wishing to follow that route. All boarding houses offer age appropriate accommodation, comfortably equipped with a wide range of facilities. Pupils may stay at the College over the exeat weekends and during half term, and this is provided at no extra charge. Each house has a residential tutor team who oversees the personal development of their pupils. There are numerous co-curricular activity clubs, both sporting and creative, which operate during the enrichment programme. Young Enterprise, Investments & Securities qualification, EPQ, drama, music and the College offers pupils the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. TED talks, careers talks using the returning alumni scheme are hugely popular and informative. Weekend trips and half-term holiday visits to European capitals are also part of the co-curricular offering. A recent new science block and two new boarding house developments have added to the superb facilities, with a new catering and dining facility due to open shortly as well as a new teaching block equipped with the latest ICT facilities.
