Leweston School welcomes school community to Art Scholars exhibition.

Leweston School welcomed the school community to take a look at their talented Art and Design Scholars, Art exhibition on Thursday 10 March. The school’s aspiring Artist and Art Historian, Wiktoria in Year 13, has helped to organised and curate this display of creativity and talent! The opportunity to exhibit works from Years 7 through to 13 as a salon style group show, has been a great experience for all involved and received huge appreciation from students and staff alike.

Works in the exhibition present interests outside of the classroom, many works having been created in student’s free time. Inspiration for the works has a wide breadth, from nature – in both vegetation and the human and animal form, to architecture and political commentary.

Works have been created in a variety of media including drawing, painting, darkroom processes and collage.

The school hoped that the exhibition has inspired the School Community. The artists should feel extremely proud of their achievements and the high standard of work they have produced!
