Molly Barnard, representing Gordon’s School, won the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) National Plate Championships in the 90-95cm Jumping with Style Category beating over 20 competitors from schools around the country.
Sarah Maslen, Head of Equestrianism at Gordon’s, commented: “This was phenomenal. Molly won with ease and skill. As well as being incredible to watch, this was a well-deserved win in a highly competitive and technical class.”
Two other riders from the school in West End, Woking also picked up rosettes in the NSEA National Plate Championships. Gigi Gough placed 6th in the Preliminary Dressage Category whilst Rebecca Hales picked up 2nd and 6th place in the 1-1.05m Jumping with Style Category and the 1.10m Show Jumping Category respectively.
Molly and Rebecca also attended the NSEA National Championships in October where they also placed 5th and 6th.
The school team has had numerous team and individual successes and have competed almost every weekend this term bringing rosettes back from all but one event so far.
