Kind-hearted Bromsgrove pupils take part in Guinness World Record attempt
11th May 2017

On Friday 19th May, pupils from Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory School will be participating in a truly unique event taking place across the whole of the UK, with children attempting to break a Guinness World Record for a mass sponsored walk.

The current World Record is 231,635 people all walking at the same time. This event is called Walk4Wildlife and Schools will be raising money for wildlife protection and conservation.

As Year 2’s Creative Curriculum topic this term is ‘Out of Africa’, the children will be developing an awareness of conservation and half the money raised will be donated to the WWF. The other half will be given to the local Animal Charity, Blue Cross for Pets, chosen by the other year groups in School.

The walk will take place within the School grounds at exactly 2.15pm on Friday 19th May with all the children from Pre-School to Year 2 involved.

On the day, the children will come to school dressed as an animal (T-shirt, Onesie, animal print, ears).
