Millfield BTEC Art & Design pupils celebrated two years of work by showcasing their creations at the Red Brick Exhibition Space in Glastonbury.
The Millfield BTEC Art & Design Exhibition gave the pupils the opportunity to experience their very own exhibition in a professional environment, showcasing their work in the historic Boca Bar building in Glastonbury.
Over 20 Millfield Upper Sixth pupils studying a range of courses, including A level Art, Photography and Product Design and BTEC Art & Design have gained places at some of the country’s top art universities, including the University of the Arts London: London College of Fashion, Falmouth University, and the Universities of Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds, among others.
Upper Sixth pupil Aria Kalmar said, “Bringing our work into the community was extremely exciting to not only experience our own exhibition, but to also have the opportunity to give back to the community with a creative showcase for everyone. With the help of our incredibly talented teachers and the Boca Bar staff, we put together an unforgettable show which will be carried with us through our careers. We’d like to thank our teachers and The Red Brick Building staff for making this happen and helping us to emerge as young artists into the industrial world.”
