Course Outline

This fun and interactive, ‘Train the Trainer’ pastoral care programme, will equip professionals helping to build pupils’ self-identity and wellbeing by providing a supportive framework and practical steps to build resilience, self-identity and wellbeing. The webinar will address tackling tricky modern-day situations and present-day scenarios, such as friendship skills, bully defence tools and top tips for positive mental health.

Training topics will include:

  • A new, modern world: the importance of personal wellbeing
  • The ‘5 Steps to Success’ – Leadership Skills
  • The power of self-esteem and confidence: resilience.

Learning outcomes:

  • For all professionals to adopt a step-by-step ‘Wellbeing Toolkit’ (with use of sustainable resources for group work and one to one) that helps to provide solution strategies regarding anxiety, bullying, anger management and vulnerability
  • Providing practical, easy to follow strategies as daily motivation for future success. Brave the Rage practical training workshops provide numerous lesson plans and resources in the form of icebreakers, movie clips, games, quizzes, and role plays
  • Learning new resilience and leadership skills for self-esteem and confidence, providing golden rules to tackle a new and tricky, modern-day world.

Speaker: Julie Wilkinson, Founder, Brave the Rage

Julie has had over 20 years’ skill and experience of support, intervention and prevention for vulnerable children and young people. Ranging from domestic violence crisis counselling in New York, providing solutions to conflict resolution in London as a CALM mediator, to overseeing strategic and operational coordination for Lambeth Youth Council and becoming Domestic Violence Coordinator Lambeth, Julie has delivered vast quantities of training to a range of clients.

After experience as Kidscape’s ‘Bullying Intervention Training’ coordinator for England, and regional trainer for London and the South East, Julie launched Brave the Rage to create and deliver her own training. Julie has gone on to use this information to author ‘Krumpled Kirsty’ stories, focusing on teaching early years life skills for the future.

Brave the Rage is an anti-bullying and anger management training provider for children, professionals and parents in varying educational settings across the UK and overseas. Brave the Rage will provide prep, junior and senior practitioners with sustainable, practical life skills workshops, using a range of resources, to combat bullying, anger and anxiety, helping to decrease vulnerable behaviour in school and maximise leadership skills for the future.
