Promoting mental health awareness following COVID-19.
Date: July 07, 2020
Time: 13:30 – 15:30
The global response to COVID-19 has prompted a widespread recognition that ‘normal life’ was a stressful and mentally challenging time for many. Now we are seeing the impact that a wider re-opening may have on both students and staff. It is important therefore that your school is prepared to create a mentally healthier workplace and community: are your staff sufficiently trained to recognise signs of poor mental health in themselves, their colleagues and their students? Is there a clear pathway and resources for students to access in seeking support? This half-day seminar will provide thoughts and suggestions in preparing to develop your school’s understanding and response to mental health awareness and support.
This half-day seminar is being led by BSA Nurse Advisor, Jane Graham, and Director of Safeguarding, Standards and Training, Dale Wilkins.
