St George’s Ascot (SGA) is an independent boarding and day school with approximately 270 pupils aged from 11-18 years about 45% of whom are boarders (both full and tailored) and with a Sixth Form of approximately 80 pupils.

We are a welcoming school with a warm sense of community. Visitors are impressed by our facilities within a beautiful setting and the ambition of our educational provision, but most of all they are delighted by the girls who are truly special.

We have excellent sporting facilities that are highly thought of in the local area. Our fully-equipped sports hall contains a dance studio and a squash court and our extensive grounds contain six floodlit netball / tennis courts and grass pitches suitable for football and lacrosse pitches, which in summer are converted into a 400m grass athletics track, with shotput and discus circles and a long jump pit. We have a 25m six lane indoor swimming pool and a state of the art gym complete with high specification Technogym equipment.

Our aim is to encourage pupils to achieve their goals and potential, to welcome challenges, to be aspirational and adventurous with their physical movement and to continue with their sporting activities beyond St George’s.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational full-time Teacher of PE/Sports Coach to join our PE department that currently comprises three full-time and one part-time specialist members of staff.

This is a full-time teaching post for the academic year and involves supporting after school fixtures and working on Saturdays; some time off during the working week is provided, proportionally, in lieu of the Saturday commitment.

This is a Fixed Term Contract from 1 September 2024 to 3 July 2025.
