Role:

We are searching for an MI Accountant to provide support to the Chief Finance Officer with internal and external reporting, along with support and oversight of the finance department.

The role requires flexibility and adaptability and the employees of the Collegiate need to be aware that they may be asked to perform tasks and be given responsibilities not detailed in this job description.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Statutory Accounts production for c25 entities including reconciliations and auditor liaison
  • Management Accounts production and development of reports to budget holders
  • Management Information reports regular production and development of new reports as required
  • VAT return production and reconciliation
  • Office For National Statistics returns production and submission
  • Recharges & apportionment of expenses to business units
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with technical accounting treatment within Sage
  • Ensure financial records are accurate and properly recorded

 

The Appointed Candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within a school environment (Desirable)
  • Experience of maintaining accurate financial records
  • Experience of working with sage
  • Qualification in accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong Excel modelling skills including formulas
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic on Excel (Desirable)
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Confident and professional manner
  • People management skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
