Christ’s Hospital is looking for versatile graduates to join its body of academic staff. The successful candidates must participate in all aspects of school life including taking part in some teaching and/or broader curriculum coaching or supervision as well as pastoral support of pupils in and out of lessons. While there is no specific subject specialism required, as these roles are general in nature, we are keen to hear from applicants who are able, through qualification or experience, able to support a variety of areas of our academic and/or broader curriculum offering.

Whilst this is a temporary position for up to two academic years, starting end of August 2022, successful applicants have gone on to take on further teaching roles in the School.

A positive approach to learning, a caring and enthusiastic attitude and the ability to work in a team and a willingness to participate fully in the broader life of this busy boarding community is essential. The successful candidate will be required to undertake at least one evening duty in a boarding house each week.  This is an ideal post for an outstanding individual considering teaching as a profession in future.  All meals during term-time when on duty are provided as part of the package and there is accommodation on site available. The salary will be paid across the whole contract.

Details of the role requirements and remuneration are included in the job description which can be downloaded from our website  https://www.christs-hospital.org.uk/vacancies/ .  More information about Christ’s Hospital can be found at www.christs-hospital.org.uk

We welcome applications from all sectors of the community as we aspire to attract staff that match the social and cultural diversity of our student intake. We consider the most important factor to be the right skills, abilities and attitude for the job which will ultimately improve the well-being and education of the pupils.  Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Applications should be received by 9am on Friday 28th January 2022.  Interviews of the short-listed candidates will be held either on site at the school on Friday 4th February 2022.
