His extensive background in safeguarding\, boarding leadership\, and governance gives him a broad perspective on the sector\, enabling him to support schools in delivering outstanding pastoral provision. \n\nDale Wilkins\, MA (Ed)\, FTIOB\, Executive Director\,  BSA Group Scotland/Wales and Accredited/Compliance \nDale Wilkins joined the BSA in 2017 to lead safeguarding\, inspection\, and compliance across the UK\, building on his experience as a course tutor since 1998. He works closely with ISI\, Ofsted\, and the DfE\, while also overseeing the Group’s work in Scotland and Wales. A trainer and consultant for BSA and SACPA\, he is Vice Chair of SAFCAB. Dale previously spent 31 years as a boarding practitioner\, including roles as Housemaster and Deputy Head at Old Swinford Hospital. Beyond education\, he trains for the Methodist Church\, is a charity trustee\, chairs a performing arts organisation\, and volunteers widely. \n

Founder of Trouble Sleeping in 2006\, she provides Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to individuals and organisations\, including the NHS\, police\, airlines\, and charities. Dr Browning is also a bestselling author of Navigating Sleeplessness and a frequent media commentator on sleep issues. \n  \n\nGavin Horgan\, Head\, Millfield School \nGavin Horgan became Headmaster of Millfield in September 2018. Gavin was previously Headmaster of Worksop College in Nottinghamshire since 2012\, where he delivered academic turnaround aligned with a substantial building programme and whole school restructure.\nPrior to Worksop College\, Gavin’s earlier career included working internationally in schools in Sri Lanka and Argentina\, before returning to the UK in 2009 as Deputy Head of The Glasgow Academy\, an independent co-educational school with 1300 pupils. Gavin also has extensive experience of the state sector at schools in Hampshire and Lambeth. \n\nDan Thornburn\, Head\, Millfield Prep \nDan joined Millfield Prep in 2022 from Edgeborough School in Surrey\, where he has was head since 2017. He was previously head of St Petroc’s\, North Cornwall\, and his earlier teaching career included spells at Lockers Park and Chafyn Grove. Educated at Wrekin College\, Thornburn read history at Exeter University whilst playing rugby for the Exeter Chiefs 2nds. He also gained an MEd in Educational Leadership from the University of Buckingham.
