DESCRIPTION:🏷️ £55-110\, with additional tickets from £25 🎧 Educational agents 📍 Online 🎥 Watch live or on catch up \n\nCourse outline:  \nBSA and BAISIS have launched a training programme of five one-hour webinars designed to support educational agents in supporting their families better\, grow their reputation and ensure every student thrives in their new school. This series can be accessed as individual sessions – remember BSA certified agents get two free training courses per year – or as a package. \nThe Overview of the UK school system webinar will provide clear and current information on the UK school market including different school and boarding types\, age grouping and academic stages\, exams and qualifications and links to higher education. The UK market will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner to support agents in their explanations to families. \nTraining topics will include: \n\nAge group placements\, year group equivalents and transition periods\nGCSE\, A level\, IB\, BTEC and other qualifications\nLinks to higher education\nTypes of UK school\nTypes of boarding.\n\nLearning outcomes: \nBy the end of the session\, participants will: \n\nCurrent and clear understanding on the UK school system\, particularly independent and boarding schools\nIncreased confidence in explaining the system to families exploring a UK education.\n\nBOOK NOW \nThis event will be held jointly with: \n \n\nSpeaker: \n\n\n\n\n\nDavid Walker FTIOB\, Executive Director\, Boarding and Director\, BSA/TIOB \n\n\n\nDavid Walker has over 20 years’ experience in boarding education\, having worked in a variety of schools across the UK and Africa. His career includes leadership roles in both senior and prep school settings\, complemented by service as a prep school governor and trustee of a multi-academy trust. Before joining the BSA\, David was Deputy Head Pastoral at a large co-educational independent school in the South-East\, where he oversaw student welfare and pastoral care. His extensive background in safeguarding\, boarding leadership\, and governance gives him a broad perspective on the sector\, enabling him to support schools in delivering outstanding pastoral provision.
