DESCRIPTION:Date: June 12\, 2024\nTime: 13:30 – 14:30\nCost: Sacpa Member – £65\, Non-member – £130\nAudience: This webinar is for all safeguarding leads and practitioners involved in developing and delivering pastoral support and early help intervention plans.\nPlatform: Zoom (online)\n\n\nCourse outline: \nStrengths-based planning is recognised good practice. But how often do teams focus on deficits\, or areas that need `fixing’ to the detriment of including strengths-based activities that contribute to reducing risk. In this webinar our speaker describes their front-line intervention work with children and explores how strengths-based planning and intervention strategies have created improved outcomes for children and young people. Delegates will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the webinar and consider how strengths-based planning and intervention delivery can be used in their practice. \nTraining topics will include: \n\nWhy strengths-based intervention planning?\nInvolving children and young people in making their plan\nCase study examples of strengths-based planning and intervention\nWorking with other agencies to keep the plan positive\nRecording outcomes and impact.\n\nLearning outcomes: \n\nAn opportunity to explore the benefits of strengths-based approaches to intervention planning\nHow to include the voice of the child in their plan\nHow to work with others who may be more deficit focussed\nMethods of recording impact and outcomes.\n\nBOOK NOW \n\nSpeaker: \n \nClaire Dan\, Director of Safeguarding and Director\, Sacpa \nClaire is Director of Safeguarding and Director\, Sacpa and leads on the provision of safeguarding advice and support to members and the development and delivery of CPD and safeguarding consultancy services. Claire is a safeguarding specialist and leader with a background in education welfare\, youth justice\, and early help contexts which have involved a strong focus on diverse and collaborative partnerships\, professional development and supervision of front-line safeguarding colleagues\, and leading multi-disciplinary teams and projects. Between 2006 and 2013 Claire was involved with Luton Safeguarding Children Board as a lead multi-agency safeguarding trainer\, developing and delivering single and multi-agency safeguarding training\, and since 2013 has delivered pieces of bespoke consultancy work\, and providing a range of safeguarding consultancy on a freelance basis.
