DESCRIPTION:🏷️ From £135\n📍 Online\n✅ Included in BSA CPD Pass \n\nCourse outline \nThis two-hour\, interactive training session supports nurses and healthcare teams to effectively manage the medical onboarding of new pupils. With emphasis on clinical and pastoral care\, the session will cover information gathering\, triage and risk identification\, developing individual care plans and working with other teams to share information safely and effectively.   \nThe session will include group discussion and opportunities to share good practice with particular relevance to boarding and international pupils\, and those with complex medical needs. \nTraining topics will include: \n\nWelcoming and inducting new pupils \nCollecting medical information \nHealth assessments\, risk identification and individual care plans \nInformation sharing and safeguarding \n\nLearning outcomes: \n\nResources to review and strengthen new pupil medical processes \nConfidence in requirements for new pupil medical information \nImproved understanding of how to share health information appropriately and collaborate with the wider school to support new pupils. \n\n*If you would like to become a member and access discounted rates for Hieda CPD and events\, please click here. \nBOOK NOW \nThis event will be held jointly with: \n \nRosie McManus\, Nurse Advisor\, HIEDA \nTrained at Great Ormond Street\, Rosie made the move to the independent sector in 2006.  With an MA in Medical Ethics and Law and the Specialist Community Pubic Health Nurse qualification her passion remains promoting the Healthy Child Programme\, and promoting the visibility of school nurses in the independent sector.
