DESCRIPTION:🏷️ £135-270\n📍 Online\n🎧 Teaching and non-teaching staff.\n🎥 Join live \n\nCourse outline: \nThe number of children diagnosed with specific learning difficulties has increased over the last few years and is continuing to increase. These difficulties not only impact classroom learning but also everyday life such as organisation\, executive functioning\, self-esteem and relationships. This seminar will focus on practical strategies to support pupils and boarders who are dyslexic and whose working memory and processing are areas of concern. This session will be useful to both teaching and non-teaching staff. \nTraining topics will include: \n\nSpecific learning difficulties\nThe impact of dyslexia and difficulties with working memory and processing\nPractical strategies to support children in your care.\n\nLearning outcomes: \n\nTo gain an in-depth understanding of the areas impacted by dyslexia\, working memory and processing difficulties\nTo be better equipped to support children with these characteristics\nTo be able to foster an inclusive culture in one’s setting/boarding house\n\nBOOK NOW \nThis event will be held jointly with: \n \n\nSpeaker: \n \nGaelle Sullivan\, Director of Research\, Inclusion and IELA \nGaelle is Director of Research\, Inclusion and IELA and joined the BSA in January 2023. She is an experienced senior leader and has worked in a range of state and independent schools. She is a qualified SENCO and holds a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education. Prior to joining the BSA\, Gaelle was Deputy Head Pastoral\, DSL and Head of Boarding at an all-girls independent school in the South-East.
