Managing the increase in choices boarders will have to make as they approach the significant transition towards life after school\, they may find themselves under increasing pressure and in need of support from those around them. This course is designed to help boarding staff grow in confidence in their role and promote the knowledge and skills required to meet the needs of senior boarders. \nOlder teenagers face an increasingly diverse set of pressures and many of them need additional support. Certainly\, they need to feel they are in a safe environment where they can discuss concerns and build their resilience and independence. Since 2002\, Alex has built up 22 years’ experience as an ISI inspector and\, since 2019\, has been a Reporting Inspector for UK and overseas inspections. Until recently\, Alex was a governor of an independent school in Hertfordshire and has undertaken reviews of governance for AGBIS in recent years. Alex now leads the AGBIS International programme as well as coordinating consultancy services for both UK and international member schools.
