Course Outline:

Public speaking is one of the most common fears among adults. But it is a skill that can be learned and practised. In this seminar , we will cover ways to overcome this fear as well as practical tips for you to feel more at ease speaking in public or presenting. We will also focus on presentation skills, ways to engage your audience and build confidence. This is essential for colleagues on the cusp of senior management or those already in post aiming to improve their skills. The content will also be useful for those who are considering job applications and interviews.

Speaker:

Gaelle Sullivan, Director of Research, Inclusion and IELA 

Gaelle is Head of Research Services and Inclusion and joined the BSA in January 2023. She is an experienced senior leader and has worked in a range of state and independent schools. She is a qualified SENCO and holds a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education. Prior to joining the BSA, Gaelle was Deputy Head Pastoral, DSL and Head of Boarding at an all-girls independent school in the South-East.
