Yesterday (20 July), the Home Office’s Future Borders and Immigration System (FBIS) External Engagement Team published its New Plan for Immigration: Legal Migration and Border Control strategy statement. The statement sets out its vision for a streamlined, digital immigration system which responds to customer needs and enhances the security of the UK. The FBIS External Engagement Team said:
The Legal Migration and Border Control statement details our overall transformation strategy for the next three years, with a focus on improving the end-to-end customer travel journey and our vision for the future border and migration system. This builds on our existing ambition as set out in the 2025 UK Border Strategy for the UK border to be the most effective in the world.
