Rydal Penrhos Preparatory School has announced the appointment of Catherine Hughes as Acting Assistant Head.
The popular figure joined the school community last year will hold the post initially for the remainder of the academic year, whilst the Prep School determines its longer term leadership structure.
Catherine, who joined the Rydal Penrhos community at the start of the academic year as a Year 4 teacher, brings a wealth of experience both in teaching and leadership roles.
She has taught in a variety of schools in the North West, including a very large four-form entry primary school, and Catherine has also been a SENCo, Coordinator in a number of curriculum areas, and a Key Stage One Leader.
At three of her previous schools, Catherine has been involved as a key member of staff in supporting and leading with improvement journeys, and she has made a huge impression during her initial stages of life at Rydal Penrhos.
