Best GCSE results in 7 years for Loretto School pupils

92% of Loretto pupils have achieved passing grades at this year’s GCSE exam, giving the School its best overall result since 2011.

More than 40% of pupils from Loretto have achieved grades 9 to 7, an A* - A equivalent. This represents twice as much as the national average, which is 20.5% this year. Loretto maintains this higher than average passing rate across the range of subjects, from English and Mathematics, through Art, French, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Headmaster, Dr. Graham R. W. Hawley commented:

‘This year’s results are yet again a reflection of the hard work and determination of both the pupils and teaching staff at Loretto. Our pupils’ performance in all academic areas highlights our commitment to provide a rounded education to fully prepare children for their future.’

Loretto School extends special congratulations to its nine pupils who have achieved all their results at grades 9-7, an outstanding achievement.
