An aspiring young skier added to her outstanding list of accolades with a regional tournament success.
Agatha Favill, a Year 4 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, turned in another superb effort to secure the U9 Girls’ Category at the competition, which was held at Plas y Brenin last week.
The eight-year-old produced a series of memorable runs throughout the competition to put her in a commanding position heading into the final round, and Agatha held her nerve to successfully achieve the title.
She received a medal and a generous round of applause from teacher Gaynor Davies and the entire Prep School at their weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, April 20.
This is the latest in a long line of achievement from the aspiring star, who has developed her skills considerably thanks to the school’s dedicated skiing programme, with is something unique and makes full use of the fantastic facilities situated throughout the region.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “Agatha continues to show enormous promise on the slopes, and her enthusiasm is matched by her incredible talent.
“Our skiing programme is absolutely thriving thanks to the hard work of both pupils and staff, and with pupils like Agatha leading the way we are hopeful that this can continue long into the future.”
