A girls’ rugby team at Rydal Penrhos continued their excellent development with an impressive win last week.
The U11 Prep School side took on Bodelwyddan in a tag rugby contest on Friday, March 9, and emerged from a dramatic encounter with a thrilling 16-15 victory.

One of the standout performers on the day was Sophie Hall, who racked up a host of tries throughout the contest, including one, which featured a stunning roly-poly to cross to white wash.
This was followed up by scores from Gabriele Subkovaite, Elise Mazars, Keira Luke and Jasmin Beckett-Donald, and the Rydal Penrhos side held their nerve in the closing stages to achieve a notable win.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “Our girls’ Tag Rugby team have shown an enormous amount of determination in not only taking up a new sport, but thriving in the initial stages of their progression.
“This has been a great source of pride for everybody here at Rydal Penrhos Prep School, and it further proof of what each pupil continues to achieve thanks to the opportunities that are available here.”
