A host of Preparatory School pupils will lend their support to a flagship event in Llandudno next month.
The Year 5 and 6 groups will be taking the stage at Venue Cymru as part of their Prom Praise concert, which will take place on Saturday, June 24 from 7.30pm.
The showcase, which is headlined by global sensations the All Souls Orchestra and lead conductor Noel Tredinnick, will feature a number of prominent acts including Welsh Soprano Katy Treharne, who brings with her a wealth of experience on the West End stage.
Harpist Rachel Davies is another that is set to perform, and internationally-renowned singer, songwriter and authors Stuart Townend has also been confirmed.
This is the latest in a long line of performances from the Year groups, who gave a stunning rendition of You Raise Me Up to Senior School chapel during Rydal Penrhos’ recent Music Week initiative.
They also sang the same song at the school’s annual Summer Concert, and the vocalists will be joined at Prom Praise by pupils from Ysgol Llandrillo-yn-Rhos.
Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “We are honoured to be joining the Prom Praise line-up, which will no doubt be a fantastic experience for our Prep School pupils.
“Performing in-front of what is sure to be a large crowd at Venue Cymru will be a huge confidence boost for them, and they are already working hard to ensure their contribution is a success.”
Tickets for the concert range from £19.50 to £10 and anyone wishing purchase tickets can do so by calling 01492 872400 or visit www.venuecymru.co.uk.
