A gifted swimmer at Rydal Penrhos came away from a regional meet with a haul of medals.
Osca Clark, a Year 7 pupil at the school, turned in a number of eye-catching performances at the Menai AA and B meet, which was held at Llandudno Swimming Pool on Sunday, February 26.
The 11-year-old picked up no fewer than four golds and a silver medal from his five events, smashing a number of personal best times in the process.
He began with a second placed finish in the 100 metre AA freestyle race, before touching the finishing line first in the 100 metre backstroke in a time of 1:27.54.
The sports scholar then went on to claim both the 100 metre breaststroke and butterfly events, before ending the day in style with success in the 200m individual medley in 3:06.29.
This is the latest in a long line of successes for the young swimming star, who is regarded as one of the most promising talents in the region.
Head of Swimming Maciej Ruszkowski, said: “Osca has done a lot of good work in the pool in the lead up to this meet, and it was no surprise to see him performing well.
“He is a very talented swimmer in all disciplines and shows a great determination to get better with every session, and I am delighted with his progress.”
