John Cooper will take up the role of Deputy Head (Pastoral) with effect from September 2017, replacing Chris Seal.
Currently Deputy Head at Eltham College, London, John is responsible for the day to day running and holistic care within the school. Previously he was at Dulwich College between 1992-2011 taking on a number of roles including Senior Boarding Housemaster, Head of Sport and Day Housemaster in the Upper School. During these years John also undertook an exchange programme in Australia, spending one year at Christchurch Grammar School in Perth where he taught Geography and Physical Education and was a Day Housemaster and Boarding House Tutor.
At Millfield John will be a member of the Senior Management Team and act as the Headmaster’s key adviser on all matters relating to the pastoral care of pupils, house staff and the boarding programme.
