An Olympic medal winner will take centre stage at a special rugby sevens camp at Rydal Penrhos.
Dan Bibby, who was part of the Team GB side who gained a silver medal at the Rio games, will head the half term camp on Monday, October 31.
The event, which is open to both pupils and non-pupils at the school, will take place on Monday, October 31 from 8.30am-5pm.
One of the most recognisable faces on the UK and World 7s circuit, Bibby scored three tries throughout the Olympic series, including the crucial extra-time match winner in the quarter-final against Argentina.
His standout performances also earned him a place in the Rio Olympics Dream Team, and the camp has been arranged by both Bibby and former pupil Marcus Copeland.
During the camp the sevens star and a number of other coaches will be working on a number of core sevens’ skills, while there will also be a mini tournament to round-off the day in addition to a question and answer session during lunch.
The event comes on the back of a series of successful Rugby Sevens camps at the school in recent months, which featured a host of big names including former Wales and British Lion Andy Powell.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Dan is one of the most gifted player’s on the sevens’ circuit at the moment, and we are delighted that he has agreed to join us for the camp.
“It promises to be a hugely beneficial day for those attending, who will get to learn from one of the best in the business.”
The cost of the camp is £65 and for more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07770 264464.
