Creative Preparatory School pupils lent their support to a nationwide fundraising initiative recently.
Rydal Penrhos took part in Save the Children’s Den Day on Monday, June 13, where classrooms and Forest School were transformed into a den environment in aid of charity.
Throughout the day different year groups used the materials they had brought from home to create their very own dens, and all showed tremendous enthusiasm despite the wet conditions.
Teacher and World AIMS co-ordinator Catherine Culver, said: “It’s a fun way for your children to raise funds that will change children’s lives, while they learn new skills and important lessons about the world around them.
“Our pupils joined children from around the UK to unleash their imaginations and transform their classrooms and the forest into amazing dens.”
Those taking part were asked to bring in a £2 donation, with all proceeds going towards Save the Children.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, added: “It was great to see our pupils taking part in such a fantastic event, and despite the weather all of them applied themselves really well.
“We are very proud of our charity work here at Rydal Penrhos, and this year we have once again raised a considerable amount for both worldwide, national and local causes.”
