A Preparatory School swimming star added to his impressive list of accolades at a regional meet.
Osca Clark, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, took home no fewer than nine medals from the Denbighshire Development Meet, which took place in Llandudno on Saturday, April 16.
His medal haul included four gold medals in the 200m individual medley, 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle and 50m backstroke.
The 11 year-old also achieved five silvers for his efforts in the 100m backstroke, 100m individual medley, 50m and 100m breaststroke and 50m freestyle events.
The Prestatyn resident gained personal best times in eight of the nine races, and his fine effort throughout the meet earned him the Top Boy trophy in the age 11 boys category.
This is the latest in a long line of successes for Osca, who has gained a haul of medals from various events during the season, and also competed at the Urdd National Gala in Cardiff.
Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod, said: “This was another fantastic effort from Osca and further proof of just how much talent he possesses.
“He has had a great year in the pool so far, and winning the Top Boy in such a competitive event shows that the hard work he is putting in is paying dividends.
“Everyone is extremely proud of him and are confident that he can continue this success at the Senior School this September.”
