Abingdon School – one of the top rowing schools in the country.

With three former pupils competing in this year's Boat Race, Abingdon has an enviable track record when it comes to rowing honours: 

 

• 63 Abingdon rowers have represented Great Britain over 25 years

• 111 Abingdon rowers have represented Great Britain and England over 25 years

• The ‘Triple’ won in 2002 and 2012.  The Schools’ Head of the River, The National Schools Regatta (Queen Mother Cup) and the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup.

• Four wins in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Henley.

• Four National Schools wins in the Championship VIIIs

 

OAs in the 2016 Boat Race: James Cook (Oxford) and Felix Newman and cox Ian Middleton (Cambridge).
