Silverware for Loretto Golf Academy at the Desert Springs European Schools Golf Championships
22nd February 2016

Members of the Loretto Golf Academy returned from the Desert Springs European Schools Team Championships in the Almeria region of south-east Spain over half-term with an impressive haul of silverware.

The competition, organised by the exclusive Desert Springs Golf resort and Millfield School, was an open event to all schools in the UK.

Niklas Jacobsen won the 'Lowest Scratch Score' and Sam Stones clinched the trophy for the 'Lowest Nett Score'.

Loretto finished second and third in a very close final day.

Jonathan Hewat, Director of Communications at Loretto School, said, “This is a remarkable achievement by the Loretto golfers who were up against some stiff opposition. Niklas and Sam did particularly well and we congratulate them both.”
