Loretto School Girls' Ski Team Triumph at British Schoolgirls’ National Championships

HOT on the heels of Loretto Junior School’s recent success at the Scottish Schools’ Championships at Glenshee, the Loretto School senior girls’ ski team triumphed at the recent British Schoolgirls’ Ski Championships in Flaine, France, returning as the leading Scottish School team and an impressive medal haul of 5 Golds and 5 Silver and 1 Bronze medal.

Loretto School’s A Team, consisting of Genevieve Baird , Katie Stuart and Lexy Stuart won Gold and were crowned the Giant Slalom Champions. The team also won Silver in the overall Combined Championships coming 2nd out of 53 teams, very narrowly missing out on another team Gold.

Loretto School enjoyed some tremendous individual results, particularly Genevieve Baird who won a staggering 4 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals.

Katie Stuart won 3 Individual Silver Medals:

A grand total of 5 Golds, 5 Silvers and 1 Bronze for.

Loretto School’s B Team, consisting of Holly Stuart, Lucy Buchanan-Smith and Alexandra Gardiner also did really well securing great individual placings.
