Keswick School raise money for Children in Need
27th November 2015

We love a challenge at Lairthwaite boarding house and if it involves baking cakes…even better.  So a small team of girls set to making cakes to sell at a bake sale in school for Children in Need last Friday.  After lots of mess and washing up, giggles and arguments about who was licking the finished with spoons we were armed with our cakes ready to sell and sell we did.  In the evening the whole house attended the switch on of Keswick Town’s Christmas lights and enjoyed taking part in the broadcasting of Children in Need which was live with Pudsey bear in Keswick for the North West of England.  The school choir sang which was on BBC 1 during the televised programme so all in all an exciting day and night.  Together with a quiz and the cake sale we raised £170 for Children in Need.
