GB Goalkeeper Maddie Hinch Coaches at Bishop's Stortford College
26th November 2015

Maddie's experience was invaluable to the College's goalkeepers.

Maddie Hinch, hockey goalkeeper for Great Britain visited the College today and coached our Senior School and Prep School hockey goalkeepers.
She brought new techniques that the College goalkeepers really took on board. Nick Prowse, Head of Prep School Hockey, commented “I hope they implement them in their upcoming matches.”
Maddie will be returning to the College after half term to build upon the basics she introduced to the goalkeepers today.

"Maddie started goalkeeping after being told by a PE teacher that the way she threw herself around during rounders might be better suited to a hockey goal! Since then Maddie's made a name for herself as a goalkeeping extraordinaire, starting at Exmouth HC and working her way up to becoming England's number one and making her senior debut against Germany in 2008. Since then she's gained a degree in Sport & Exercise Science from Loughborough University, and when she's not protecting hockey goals she's coaching others to do the same."
