The BSA was a guest on Wednesday at the launch of Shakespeare Lives 2016, a British Council project marking the 400th year since Shakespeare died.

The event was held in the Houses of Parliament and was attended by representatives from the education and arts sectors, including the actor Steven Berkoff. British Council CEO Sir Ciarán Devane described the Shakespeare Lives as a ‘major, important project’ and Culture minister Baroness Neville-Rolfe said Shakespeare was a ‘world icon’ and the project would ‘expand our influence and connections globally’.
