Loretto Golf Academy pupil secures win at prestigious Hong Kong Golf Championship

15 year old Lou Tan, a member of the Loretto Golf Academy has won the prestigious Albert K.W. Lai Junior Tournament in Hong Kong, organised by the Hong Kong Golf Association, which took place on Monday, 13th July.

Lou, who is a boarder at Loretto School and whose home is Hong Kong, has a handicap of 2. He fought off a field of 35 other talented golfers in his 15 to 17 category to win with a total of 32 points, becoming overall boys’ champion 

Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs said, “This is a tremendous achievement by Lou and we do congratulate him. He is a talented young golfer and is currently Loretto’s Junior Golf Captain.”


Loretto School

Set in a leafy campus just outside Edinburgh near East Lothian's coastline, Loretto provides an all‐round education for around 630 boys and girls – boarders and day pupils ‐ aged 0‐18. The School is made up of two parts: the Junior School ('The Nippers') for children aged 0‐12, and the Senior School for those aged 12‐18.
