Loretto Headmaster's video blog goes viral
27th February 2015

The second instalment of the Loretto Headmaster’s Video Blog (vlog) has been released following the enormous success of his first episode released in the autumn.

Dr and Mrs Hawley reflect on recent highlights, including the widely publicised 1914 Christmas Truce commemoration events which took place in December and the acclaimed Musselburgh Primary Schools’ Community Choir project which was spearheaded by Loretto.

Also discussed is Dr Hawley’s thoughts on the academic life at Loretto talk as well as the boarding provision at the School.  Three Sixth Form pupils, Andrew Grant-Suttie, Brittany Emmett and Christopher Sinclair talk about boarding life at Loretto.

Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs at Loretto School, said, “ As we embarked on this project some six months ago, we knew where we were heading and what we wanted to achieve, however, what we were not sure of was how this form of communication would be received. We need not have worried. The feedback was tremendous and the first vlog has already had thousands of views on YouTube! No sooner is one vlog completed than there are clamours for the next!”

The Loretto Headmaster’s second Vlog comes in two parts and can be found here – (Part one)
