Former pupil appointed teacher of Physical Education

Rydal Penrhos is delighted to announce the appointment of Sean Kitchen as teacher of Physical Education.

The school revealed that the former pupil is returning to his roots following a successful interview process, with the new appointment achieving considerable success during his initial time as a member of the Rydal Penrhos community.

Mr Kitchen’s, who attended the school from 2007-14, was a hugely influential pupil and secured the position of Deputy Head Boy during his final year.

He was a talented and prolific sportsman, earning national cricket honours with the Welsh youth squad and representing the school on the Hockey and Rugby fields.

In addition to these exploits, Mr Kitchen was also an accomplished skier to further highlight his overall success across a multitude of different sporting environments.

Following the conclusion of his education at the school, Mr Kitchen moved on to the Cardiff Metropolitan University to attain a BSc in Sport and Physical Education, along with a PGCE.

He was also part of the University’s hockey squad.

“Sean is another successful product of the exceptional academic and co-curricular education we provide here at Rydal Penrhos, and I am extremely confident in his ability to be a massive success in his new role.”
